ADAM GLASSMAN

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE AK PRODUCT AND WHY?

Hands down my favorite product is my AK iPad Case
that I have in matte alligator ... the color of mink ... with the lining in army green. I love the way it
feels and it wears so beautifully. I am constantly asked where it's from! The women's bag I would recommend to every gal is the Mercury in matte alligator. It's pure perfection because it's a
classically subtle bag that you would use and have forever.

YOU GIVE AK PRODUCTS AS GIFTS AS WELL - WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ITEMS TO GIVE AND WHY?

I love the letter keychains as gifts to people. It's a perfect gift for a new driver, or a new
homeowner. Recently gave to a college graduate, the small envelope in matte black alligator
lined in fuchsia and monogrammed with her initials. I filled it with all sorts of gift cards she will
need in her new college town: MetroCard, blowouts, Starbucks card, Baked by Melissa cupcake
gift card for late study nights, card for manicures, etc.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TRAVEL/VACATION SPOT AND WHY?

Love to check myself into the Four Seasons Biltmore in Montecito for a few days and just hang out. Great service, great pool, it's right on the beach and walking distance into the town, where I often eat at Trattoria Mollie or Lucky's.

I also love going to Mustique. It's simple and low key. Basically a glorified low key country club where you rent a staffed house and do nothing all day long but go to the beach, or play tennis and relax. Zero pressure too because there are very few restaurants and bars.

Also, going at least once a year to We Care Spa in Palm Springs for a total body detox.

WORKING AT O MUST BE FABULOUS - WHAT IS THE BEST PART ABOUT YOUR JOB AND WHAT DO YOU LOVE THE MOST?

I have my hands in a lot of pots here at O like conceiving and producing all the fashion, beauty and style pages and the covers. It's super fun to take the same cover subject and make the cover feel new and fresh monthly ... thru clothes, cover location Oprah's hair styles, etc.

But, ultimately, I am most motivated by our readers. They are vocal, receptive and fully engaged in every part of our magazine. I truly believe that we put out a special magazine monthly for our readers, not our colleagues at other magazines.

CAN YOU GIVE US A SNEAK PEAK INTO A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ADAM AND THE LIFE OF O?

No day is the same at a magazine ... because we are working on three issues at a time ... each at a different stage of the production process. So, daily I can be working on laying out a story and concepting one for an issue three months down the road. But, I do have a routine in general that consists of:

5 am wake up
Meditate
Gym
Office by 8 am

Meetings, market appointments or shoots during the day
Evening usually is filled with events or business dinners

Weekends are reserved for myself ... and visits with my family. I try to have Sunday as a day of silence. No phone, no talking, no blackberry. It doesn't always happen, but when it does, I truly feel fully recharged.

WHAT DO YOU THINK MAKES A WOMAN CHIC?

Confidence, I always say, is a woman's best accessory. I always think a woman should wear
clothes rather than the clothes wearing her. When in doubt ... go simple with good accessories.
If you have great hair, shoes and bag you are 95% there!
