WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU AND WHY?
I recently had the privilege of touring Charlotte Moss' East Hampton garden and house, and Michael Smith's latest East Hampton project. I am constantly inspired and awed by other designers' work, and to see a house can't be compared to seeing the images in print or on screen. A truly successful house tells a coherent story from start to finish - and it's a treat to experience that! Who are some of your favorite designers for clothes, accessories and shoes? I love vintage clothing, and own a lot of beautiful dresses that once belonged to my mother-in-law. Otherwise, I wear Prada, Oscar de la Renta, Andrew Gn, Derek Lam, The Row....
WHAT WOULD BE YOUR DREAM JOB/PROJECT?
An inn at the beach on Long Island, or a home in the Caribbean.
YOUR FAVORITE PLACE YOU HAVE EVER TRAVELED TO AND WHY?
The Amanyara in Turks and Caicos - the most exquisite, elegant and luxurious resort in the Caribbean.

I love Murad products, particularly their balancing moisturizer - it smells like pomegranates. I also love Dr. Hauska almond body moisturizer, Nutriment blue oil that I buy from my facialist, and my Infiniti Pro Conair hair dryer with an attached rotating brush - it's miraculous! I also love NUXE Huile Prodigieuse for face, body and hair.

I don't have any secrets except to say that it is hard work!!
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAV INTERIOR SHOPS AROUND THE WORLD AND WHY?
Colefax and Fowler in London is hands down the most beautiful shop to me. A girl can dream! But I regularly shop in the antique malls in Stamford, Connecticut, as well as on Warren Street in Hudson, New York, and the Marche Aux Puces in Paris, where there is always something new to see. In New York City, I love Louis Bofferding - he is a scholar with an eye for style, and his shop is truly chic.
WHO IS ANN WOLF AND WHY DO WE LOVE HER?
Ann is one of those chic women who is a natural beauty inside and out. She has fabulous taste in everything and we share a deep passion for "Friday Night Lights" and interesting conversation with girlfriends. She and we share a deep passion for "Friday Night Lights" and interesting conversation with girlfriends. She knows the most fascinating people and shares her friends generously over fabulous dinner parties she has in her to die for home.
A transplant New Yorker to Texas, Ann has a passion for design and collecting. She spent childhood combing through antique stores with her mother, two years at Ralph Lauren designing women's wear, and six years at the helm of Little Wolf Furniture Company - a line of vintage fabric-upholstered children's furniture that she founded after coming up short when finishing her first child's nursery.
Ann has been designing for families since 1995. Her work includes a Shaker-inspired farmhouse in Colorado, an Adirondacks-style summer house in upstate New York, a mid-century modern house filled with Danish and American furniture in Houston, and a "Hollywood-Glam" pied-à-terre in Manhattan. Her style is at once practical and sophisticated, always marked by everyday luxury and elegant simplicity. "If it doesn't work, it's not a successful design," she says. "And no matter the style, a harmony of color, pattern, scale and texture is essential."
The best part about Ann is that she never imposes a look on a customer, but rather looks to understand the client's personal style and what they already own. "Success for me is being able to bring to life each client's dream for how they want to live. I know a job is successful when my clients tell me that their houses look like them, only better."
Ann's work has been featured in House Beautiful, Southern Accents, Veranda, Traditional Home and Flair. I am lucky enough to call her a good friend and a design mentor. She is one that I respect and admire and I hope you do too!
