OUR FAVORITE FREQUENT FLYERS' TRAVEL TIPS...

Whether you're traveling from East Coast to West or on a long haul Transatlantic flight, we all could use a chic travel accessory or insider tip. So, we've polled a few of our top traveling friends to send you off and away in the most fashionable and comfortable way possible.

WHAT ARE THE BEST ITEMS TO BRING IN YOUR CARRY ON?

My carry on has everything for the trip! I don't believe in checking bags unless I absolutely have to; don't want to risk losing a bag (as happens far too often these days) and having your bag with you means more flexibility if you catch an earlier flight or leave the airport quicker. The trick to packing a carry on are staple pieces - like a uniform in navy, black or grey with lots of great accessories and only two pairs of shoes. I always have my iPad, noise canceling headphones, toiletries and a large cashmere scarf to use as a blanket. - Melissa Biggs Bradley, Founder of Indagare Travel Inc.

Filling my travel tote are: my iPad in an AK iPad Cover loaded with all of my favorite things (see below), Beats by Dre, my AK Python Zipper Pouches, AK Passport Cover (be sure to see if you're elegiable for Global Entry - it makes your re-entry so much easier!), the Ralph Lauren Cabled Cashmere Travel Set and the Good Night Sleep Mask which all help get me to my final destination. -Alexandra Knight, Owner of Alexandra Knight Inc.

My Josephine & Laurentina cashmere wrap...always in my carry on, no matter the season! It doubles as a scarf and an airplane blanket! I use Le Mer to keep my skin hydrated. -Leslie Gordon Johnson, Co-Founder of Josephine & Laurentina

Aesop Resurrection Rinse-Free Hand Wash, Bach Rescue Pastilles, Emergen-C 1000mg Vitamin C and a litre of water! + a cashmere wrap and my iPod! -Juliet de Baubigny, Partner of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE BEAUTY ITEMS WHILE TRAVELING AND YOUR CURE FOR JET LAG?

YSL Top Secrets Flash Touch Wake-Up Eye Care. It works miracles on tired eyes, a must! Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Water in flight is key. If I'm traveling east, a brisk walk to avoid napping and I stay up as late as possible on the first night. When traveling far west, a massage and a sense of humor!

- Greggory Burk, Philanthropist, Jetsetter & Gal About Town

Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist, ice compress and shopping.

-Cameron Silver, Co-Founder of Decades Inc. and star of Bravo's "Dukes of Melrose"

Right after take off (I only fly the night flight) I take an Ambien, have a glass of wine and sleep as long as I can. I do not sleep when I get to where I am going. I get up and GO...coffee helps, but generally I stay awake until the next night as late as possible and I usually sleep right through and am fine by the next day. By Terry Eye Illuminator/Concealer - brightens those tired eyes. Sunglasses and a good color on the lips. Lipsticks: Tenderheart by Clinique is good on everyone as is Fig by Clarins. -Holland Cunningham, Artist and International Traveler

Chantecaille Rosewater Spray and Dr. Hauschka Rose Moisturizer. Green tea extract. I put a few drops in a litre of water and it gets me through the day! -Juliet de Baubigny, Partner of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers

Water, Simple Revitalizing Eye Roll-On will have you looking fabulous upon arrival. And for jet lag try Melatonin - Orange Flavored. -Alexandra Knight, Owner of Alexandra Knight Inc.

Hydration. I drink tons of water on the plane and use rich moisturizer like Tata Harper's Rejuvenating Serum and her Restorative Eye Cream which reduces dark circles. I wear Creme de la Mer's Tinted Foundation with SPF 18 on the flight as the UVB rays are worse in flight. On disembarking, I swear by Trish McEvoy's Instant Eye Lift...and if that fails, sunglasses! -Melissa Biggs Bradley, Founder of Indagare Travel Inc.
