YOU LIVE IN NASHVILLE, BUT GREW UP IN THE EAST. HOW HAS THE CHANGE BEEN & WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT NASHVILLE?

I have been in Nashville 11 years and I sometimes miss the East Coast, but Nashville is a wonderful place to raise a family. I love the people, the music and the strong sense of community. Nashville is growing so quickly and while most of the change is positive, I hope it never loses its charm and authenticity.

WHAT CHARITY OR CAUSE ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT & WHY?

I am very involved with Teach for America (TFA) in Nashville. I support TFA because it is having a real impact. Its growing presence is not only helping to close the achievement gap, it is helping put student's lives on a totally different trajectory. It's a privilege to be involved with such an incredible organization.

WHAT IS SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE WOULD NEVER KNOW ABOUT YOU?

I have always been a nervous flyer and decided to take flying lessons to overcome my fear. After fifty hours in a single engine plane, it worked. Facing our fears makes us stronger.

WHAT ARE YOUR BEAUTY ESSENTIALS?

Sunscreen every day.

Exercise, drink lots of water, sleep well and laugh often. Favorite product: Clé de Peau under eye concealer.

YOU ARE A SUPER CHIC DRESSER - WHAT IS YOUR UNIFORM & WHAT ARE YOUR FASHION STAPLES?

Less is more. In general, avoid trends and prefer clothes that are classic and timeless. I accessorize with jewelry, a handbag and shoes. Style is so much more about how you carry yourself and feeling good in your own skin.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE IPAD OR IPHONE APPS?

Instagram, AroundMe, Google Maps, The Weather Channel, PGA Tour, NYP (New York Post...and my other news sources - WSJ, NYT and the Tennessean) and Clash of Clans (my son's favorite).

WHO IS JULIE FRIST AND WHY DO WE LOVE HER?

I first met Julie in Mexico on a girls hiking trip. When you first see her you want to pinch her to make sure she is real and you are not dreaming. Not only is she stunningly beautiful, but she is also refreshingly authentic, a great listener, wickedly smart and did I mention she flies planes! Every ounce of your body either wants to be her or be with her. Fingers crossed you get a quarter of her style through osmosis. We have another girls hiking trip planned for November and I could not be more excited to get to spend time with her. We asked her to share some of her lifestyle secrets and mantras with us so you can get inspired too!

Growing up on the East Coast, Julie received her Bachelor's degree from Yale University and then attended Harvard Business School where she met her husband, Thomas F. Frist III (Tommy). After an almost decade long successful career in banking, Julie relocated to Tommy's native city of Nashville, Tennessee where they both currently reside and raise their three children, Caroline, Annabel and Tommy. She does not work full-time anymore but has a very full life!

In addition to being a mom of three, Julie serves on the local chapters of many non-profit boards including Teach for America, Ensworth School, Harvard Business School and The Red Cross. She is very involved in bettering her community and giving back to those establishments who have given so much to her.

"(It's) important to always give back and model that for our children," she says.

Just one of the many reasons why I love Julie and I hope you do too!
